Four months have passed since the Tokyo 2020 Olympic and Paralympic Games were closed. The Slovenian athletes had a pre-Games camp in Abiko and showed excellent performances in the Olympics. An exhibition was held to memorize this event, which the Slovenian Ambassador to Japan visited with AIRA interpreters. (No.21-16)

AIRA received the Letter of Appreciation for its remarkable contribution to the promotion of Host Town exchange in Tokyo 2020 Olympic and Paralympic, though the games were held this summer. Mayor of Abiko gave it to AIRA representatives. (No.21-13)
With the increase of foreigners coming to live in Japan, the number of their children
transferring or entering new schools is also increasing. Due to the difference of their
language, culture and lifestyle, misunderstanding or confusion is likely to occur at schools. Under these circumstances, AIRA gave a lecture on “How to Proceed with Japanese Language Education” at the request of Kawamura Gakuen Woman’s University. (No.21-12)
