Date/time: Saturday, May 20, 2017 10:00am-12:00noon
Venue: Nishi-Chiba Campus, Chiba University
Attendee from AIRA: Yasuhiko Hesaki (Manager, Volunteer Activity Department)
Chiba University used to have a study course called “Experience on Global Volunteer Activities” and AIRA has been accepting students in that course for three years at its events as a global volunteer experience. However, the course was later merged with another subject called “Experience on Local NPO’s Activities” which aims at developing human resources who will be able to contribute to the local society.
In the university’s brief session this year, AIRA presented its activities to encourage students for participating in AIRA’s events as a volunteer.
About 25 students and 10 local organizations attended the session.
The students are scheduled to choose any one of their favorable organization and register the name for the final assignment. AIRA is ready to accept any one or two students this year again.
