Some members of the neighboring Kashiwa International Relations Association(KIRA) visited AIRA office to conduct exchange of opinions.(19-14)
Venue: Abiko Civic Plaza Meeting room No.1
Attendants: KIRA( Mr.Kato, Vice President, Mr.Sugihara, Accounts Secretary, Mr.Matsukawa, Director of Foreign Languages Committee)
AIRA(Mr.Hesaki, President,Mr.Kitajima,Vice President, Mr.Uehara,Director of Foreign Languages,Mr.Nakamura,Director of Public Relations)
AIRA are holding regular meetings with the four International Relations Associations of Higashi Katsushika District(Kashiwa city, Noda city, Nagareyama city, Abiko city) and are exchanging information about common subjects of international exchange and how each Association is working etc. to make use of it for AIRA’s activities.
KIRA, NPO Kashiwa International Relations Association, is not only a volunteering group pursuing for vitalization of international exchange of Kashiwa citizens but also performing various activities as a designated administrator of Kashiwa International Exchange Center established by Kashiwa city.
The Association are holding Japanese language classes and foreign language lessons and also continuing the exchanges with the four sister/ friendship cities(Toe Lance, Guam, Chendge, Camden). As such, they are conducting lively activities and the contents of their work and scale are wide and big.
This time, they exchanged their opinions about the management of foreign language lessons etc. which was also discussed at the regular meeting of the four Associations.
Needless to say, there are differences in both Associations in each organization form or way of management, but the subjects to make an appropriate organization enabling the students to study continuously or to establish an appropriate management plan should be common. All attendants gave frank opinions and exchanged information.
The volunteering people who are related with or managing the International Relations Association are generally getting old while the role of international exchange with increasing foreigners at civic level is becoming inevitable. This issue on the continuous management of the organization was highlighted again.
