202004121FY 2020 has started and an audit for the accounts of FY2019 was carried out. (No.20-1)
Date & Time: April 12th(Sun) ,2020  13:30~14:00
Venue: Abiko City Chamber of Commerce, Meeting Room
Auditors: Mr. Syuichiro Kurihara, Mr.Tomoyoshi Yoneda
The secretariat of AIRA prepared business plans and the budget for FY2020 after the business results and the account balance of FY2019 were compiled upon termination of FY2019.
The audit is inevitable in order to examine carefully whether or not the balance and/or accountings of FY2019 have been performed appropriately.
The venue was shifted to a meeting room of the Chamber of Commerce and the auditors proceeded with the inspection of the account books, payment receipts, etc. prepared by the secretariat staff members (Ms.Sakazume and Ms.Araki) in the presence of a witness.
The business budget of FY2020 was to be prepared based on the settlement of account of FY2019. However, the government declared a state of emergency on April 7th for the seven prefectures including Chiba in order to prevent spread of new coronavirus infection. In response to this declaration, Abiko City determined to take some countermeasures against infection and requested citizens to refrain from going out for nonessential and/or nonurgent reasons to avoid the “Three C’s” (closed spaces, crowded places and close contact settings.)
The secretariat of AIRA had been making necessary preparations to invite students to the foreign language classes and Japanese ones for the new year as usual. They had been preparing for the general meeting as well. However, under the current circumstances, it is rather uncertain whether or not the scheduled business plans could be realized.
Following the audit, Board of Directors was held at the same place. At the meeting they decided to postpone the general meeting (originally scheduled on April 30th) and to open the foreign language classes after June.  Also, they discussed making a necessary system enabling them to take flexible actions to carry out the business plans according to the upcoming changes in circumstances.
