Prior to the start-up of AIRA activities of FY2022, the first Board of Directors meeting was held to discuss the action program for the new year. (No.22-2)

Participants: Directors and others, 24 people in total
This board meeting of FY2020 was conducted through paper approval due to the spread of the new coronavirus infection. In FY2021 it was held in person with sufficient preventive measures against the infection. And this time again it was held in the same way.
The meeting was emceed by Chairman Ichikawa and the following matters which were to be submitted to the general meeting were discussed.
1. Business reports of FY2021, explained by VP Kitajima
2. Financial statements of FY2021, explained by Mr.Yoda, Accounting Director, and the inspection results, reported by Mr.Adachi, Auditor
3. Replacement plans of Directors /Auditors, explained by Chairman Ichikawa
4. Business plans for FY2022, explained by VP Murakoshi
5. Budget plans for FY2022, explained by Mr.Yoda, Accounting Director
All the subjects were approved and are going to be passed to the general meeting.
Chairman Ichikawa reported the change of the Advisor.
Thereafter, all the participants introduced themselves. The directors are delegated from various organizations, so hearing their self-introductions is a precious opportunity to exchange information surrounding them. They reported the current circumstances of each organization, and also expressed what they would expect of AIRA. They also talked on topics such as vaccinations against COVID-19, difficulties in communicating smoothly in on-line conferences or classes, plans to resume regular classes or school excursions, etc.
Relating to the Russian aggression in Ukraine, some members referred to the recent price hike of wood and the movie “Sunflower”, which was filmed in Ukraine.
A director from a school introduced their efforts to reinforce the students’ English conversation ability.
The members talked about wide range of topics from bittersweet episodes of personnel reshuffle, an overgrown cherry tree to supporting for Green Rockets Tokatsu. All of these talks were useful to learn what’s happening in Abiko and what is expected of AIRA.
