The AIRA’s new President KITAJIMA Fumiko moderated the meeting. Following the president’s remarks, the board member in charge of the 30th AIRA International Festival explained the contents planned for the festival on November 27th.
Then, The AIRA’s Vice President MURAKOSHI Koichi reported the current progress for the first half of the current fiscal year as shown below.
1. The projects conducted in-person, just the same as the ones prior to the Corona pandemic: The International Speech Contest, the Bus Tour, The Foreign Language Classes, The Translation and Interpretation Classes. Launching the Russian Salon. Accepting local volunteers, and others
2. The projects conducted on-line: the Japanese Classes (some were conducted in-person), Japanese Brush-up Classes, The Lecture on Teaching Japanese to Foreigners, and others
Then, Director of the Accountant Department YODA Isamu made the midterm financial report. After the agenda of the meeting was fully discussed, the board members made their self-introduction, adding their updates. The meeting closed on time as scheduled.
