May 25, 2016:The first meeting of the International Relations Association Assembly of Tokatsu Region was held in Abiko chaired by AIRA who undertakes the administrative duty through the fiscal 2016.

Following the welcome address by Ms. F. Kitajima, AIRA vice president, every member made a self-introduction then the day’s session started. The delegate of the each association made a brief report on activities of fiscal 2015 together with the planned projects for the fiscal 2016. KIRA delegates reported that they moved their office to the 3rd floor of the Palet Kashiwa Bldg. located at the east side of Kashiwa station and were appointed as the designated administrator of the Kashiwa International Exchange Center accompanied by a great variety of duties.
AIRA reported about the activity schedule for the fiscal 2016 and the honorable award given by the Japanese government called “Child and Youth Support Emblem” for its persistent efforts.
Activity reports of the FY2015 and planned activities for the new fiscal were explained by the members. The main matters of concern were such as, the management of Japanese language and foreign language classes, action for recruiting foreign people, interpretation and translation activities, efforts to secure staff members and to induce members for participating in activities as much as possible, and so on. Then members exchanged opinions freely.
Despite every association has its own regional and structural differences in the actual activities, these reports furnished us with useful information for further execution of AIRA programs. (No. 16-8 Translated by T. Sugano)
