The first executive committee for “Abiko International Festival” which is scheduled at the end of every November was held. (No.23-6)

Venue: Abiko Civic Plaza Meeting Room No.1
Participants: 18 members
The meeting began emceed by President Kitajima. It was the first meeting to decide the outline and the leaders of the festival, and the chairperson and the deputy chairpersons were elected. Thereafter, the members freely discussed how to organize the festival and shared mutual understanding. This time students from Chuo-Gakuin University and Chiba University joined as members, and they are expected to express fresh ideas that are not bound by conventional notions.
The following persons were elected;
・Chairperson: Mr.Nakamura, Director of Public Relations
・Deputy chairpersons (Working Group managers)
① In charge of the Hall (stage performances) : Mr.Murakoshi, Vice President
➁ In charge of the Gallery(exhibitions and introductions of foreign cultures,etc.) : Mr.Saruwatari, Director of Volunteer Services
③ In charge of the Lobby (tea ceremony, kimono wearing) : Ms.Kitajima, President
The COVID19 pandemic was rather settled down and its classification was downgraded from “Class 2”, infectious diseases such as new strains of influenza, to “Class 5”, common infectious diseases. Therefore, it was decided to hold the festival on the same scale and with the same contents as it was before Corona. Hereafter, the committee will be held once a month.
The committee is scheduled as shown below for which AIRA members’ participation and cooperation shall be appreciated.
