The party was hosted by Mr. Hayasaka, the Director of the Department of Cross-Cultural Activities, and began with greetings from Mr. Omura, the President of AIRA, and Mr. Hoshino, the Mayor of Abiko. Following the opening remarks, attendees of each group introduced themselves.
Then, the party became full of cultural exchanges among the participants because foreigners from five different countries joined this event. Students from a Japanese school in Matsudo, who had been keeping contact with the members of the Russian Language Salon, also attended the party. Members of the Spanish Language Salon and Japanese language class students from Panama enjoyed talking in Spanish and deepened their relationship.
Entertainment such as songs and dance were performed and Mayor Hoshino sang a song with the dance by Chuo Gakuin University students, which added a nice touch to his performance.
At the end of the party, President Omura gave a group message card to Mr. Xing, a senior student of Chuo Gakuin University, to express AIRA’s appreciation for his contribution to the organization’s activities.
Students from Chuo Gakuin University played a leading role in setting up the venue and performing songs and dances, which made the party flow smoothly and lively. Furthermore, the participation of AIRA language class members, language salon members, as well as Japanese language school students fostered interaction. Thanks to the participation of Mayor Hoshino, the party became so meaningful and unforgettable that time passed in the blink of an eye.
