The bus trip is held every year jointly by “ Cultural Lectures for Foreigners” and Department of Cross-Cultural Activities so that foreigners may touch Japanese culture and communicate each other. This time, they visited Choshi to learn about fish cooking and fermented food both of which are food culture of Japan surrounded by sea. (No.19-17)
The 19th Japan Bird Festival opened on November 2nd, under the theme of “Encouraging closer coexistence with wild birdlife”. This bird festival is one of the largest wild bird related events in Japan with a lot of participants from abroad and at home. AIRA dispatched interpreters to support booths from other countries. In the AIRA foreign language classes the students learn not only languages but also foreign culture and life.
The international speech contest for Japanese and non-Japanese living,studying or working in Abiko city was held on Sep. 29, 2019. (No. 19-13)
